The PED Privacy Policy was adopted on July 7, 2006.

Collection and Protection of Visitor Information

We understand the importance of and are committed to protecting the privacy of our customers and visitors. Our overall policy is to keep  what we learn about our visitors confidential. We will not give or sell confidential or Personal Information to any third party not affiliated with  Parker Engineering & Design or the requested operation, except as required by law or as described below.

We may collect information related to your visit, which may include the pages you visit, the links you click, and other standard information sent to every website you visit by your browser. Such information may include your IP address, your browser type and language, the time and date of access, and the referring website.

PED collects such information for statistical purposes. These statistics allow us to improve our website and our Web-based services to better   fit the needs of our visitors. Such information may also be used to simplify the use of our website by eliminating the need to reenter the same information multiple times. This information may be stored on the PED servers for an indefinite period of time.

We never sell or give away any Personal Information (defined by PED as information that directly identifies a specific individual). We do provide collected data as required by law to government agencies, and we may disclose the information we have collected if such action is deemed necessary to protect or defend the rights of Parker Engineering & Design.

Security of the Personal Information of Visitors and Customers

Most areas of the PED website can be accessed without any input of information from the visitor. However, some of our services require a visitor to login with a username (provided by PED) and a password. No Personal Information, however, is required for this process, and only the company name is associated with the username or the password.

We treat such information with care and protection against unauthorized access and employ appropriate security techniques to protect this information. However, it is your responsibility to protect your username and password. You should always choose to log out before leaving  the PED website to protect unauthorized use of your Session ID to access your information.

Cookies

"Cookies" are text files sent to your browser and placed on your computer. Cookies are widely used to store personal preferences or   settings. Cookies are later read by the web servers that issued them to help personalize your online experience and/or make the website   easier to use. Cookies cannot be used to run programs, deliver email, or load viruses to your computer.

Parker Engineering & Design utilizes cookies to save you time by eliminating the need to send the same information repeatedly. When you  log on to the Parker Engineering & Design website an encrypted cookie may be saved on your computer. When you sign out, the cookie  remains on your computer to simplify the authentication procedures for the next time you sign in. No personal information is stored in these  cookies.
